On November 21, 1963, by order-in-council, the Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority (SSMRCA) was established as a partnership between the Province and the City of Sault Ste. Marie and the Townships of Prince, Korah and Tarentorus. Located on the north shore of St. Marys River between Lake Superior and Huron, its boundaries encompass the municipality of Sault Ste. Marie and Township of Prince.
